We’re hiring a Network Engineer to support and secure the core infrastructure that keeps our systems connected and running efficiently. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with enterprise networking technologies, support virtual and cloud environments, and help shape the network landscape for future growth. This is a critical position that blends performance management with security, offering meaningful technical challenges and teamwork across a variety of IT functions.
What You’ll Do
- Provide Tier 1 through Tier 3 support across network technologies, including switching, routing, and security
- Respond to escalated issues in both physical and virtual/cloud environments
- Partner with vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, VMware, Dell, and EMC to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems
- Apply system patches and updates to maintain network and virtual infrastructure health and security
- Design, build, and manage virtual environments that align with organizational needs
- Stay current with CCNA-level concepts and practices; certification may be required as part of the role
- Monitor and fine-tune network performance to ensure high availability and reliability
- Work collaboratively with IT support, cybersecurity, and enterprise services teams to resolve network-related issues
- Participate in working groups and help distribute key updates and technical guidance across departments

What You Bring
Required Experience & Skills:
- US citizenship or Permanent Residence required
- At least 5 years of direct experience in enterprise network engineering and administration
- Up-to-date with DoD8140 certification requirements for advanced-level work roles
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure concepts and best practices
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve complex networking problems
- Clear, confident communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- Understanding of cloud platforms and virtualized environments is a plus
- Skilled in analyzing network performance and offering strategic improvements
- Experience participating in security incident response processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE
- Familiarity with network security frameworks like the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and DoD RMF
- Experience using advanced network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios)
- Practical experience with firewall systems and intrusion detection/prevention technologies (IDS/IPS)
- Awareness of cloud security protocols for services like AWS and Azure
