Mount Indie is seeking Software Systems Engineers with strong foundations in requirements engineering, MBSE, and verification & validation (V&V) to support the development of advanced software-driven systems.
This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in structured environments and enjoy bridging the gap between system architecture, software implementation, and test validation.
Key Responsibilities

Perform requirements development and decomposition from system to software level

Establish and maintain bi-directional traceability across system, software, and test artifacts

Develop and manage system models using CAMEO (MBSE)

Define and support Verification & Validation (V&V) strategies and test planning

Support development of system and subsystem test methodologies
- Ensure alignment between requirements, architecture, and implementation

Support major design reviews (SRR/SFR, PDR, CDR) with high-quality artifacts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, integration)
- Support configuration management and change control processes
Required Qualifications

Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field

5+ years of experience in systems engineering for software-intensive systems
- Experience with:
- Requirements decomposition and management
- Requirements traceability tools (DOORS, Jama, etc.)
- Verification & Validation (V&V) processes
- CAMEO or similar MBSE tools
- Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle processes
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience implementing MBSE in production environments

Familiarity with Agile or hybrid development methodologies
