Position Summary

We are seeking a Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) Senior Consultant to support a customer engagement focused on automation, infrastructure management, and the implementation of Ansible-based solutions.

This is a 100% onsite consulting engagement in Dahlgren, VA with a highly customer-facing delivery model. The consultant will work directly alongside the customer in a shoulder-to-shoulder environment, providing hands-on technical expertise, developing automation solutions, troubleshooting issues, and helping the customer apply Ansible Automation Platform effectively within their environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, including developing and implementing Ansible automation, integrating automation into existing infrastructure and workflows, and working directly with customers to solve complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation workflows.
• Automate infrastructure configuration, deployment, administration, and operational processes.
• Integrate Ansible automation with existing enterprise infrastructure and development workflows.
• Troubleshoot and optimize automation processes and resolve complex technical issues.
• Work directly with customer technical teams to understand requirements and develop practical automation solutions.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and knowledge transfer to customer teams.
• Help establish automation best practices, standards, and repeatable processes.
• Document automation solutions, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Support customer teams throughout implementation and adoption of Ansible Automation Platform.

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
• Experience developing and implementing Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation workflows.
• Strong Linux and infrastructure administration experience.
• Experience automating infrastructure and operational processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated experience working in a customer-facing consulting environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customer technical teams.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Dahlgren, VA.
• Comfortable working in a shoulder-to-shoulder customer environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ansible Automation Platform Controller/AWX.
• Experience with Ansible automation at enterprise scale.
• Experience integrating Ansible with CI/CD and DevOps workflows.
• Experience with Git, GitOps, or infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience automating cloud, virtualized, or bare-metal infrastructure.
• Red Hat certifications related to Ansible or Linux.
• Previous experience working as a Red Hat consultant or Red Hat partner consultant.
