Senior Product Security Engineer
Reston, Virginia, United States
Secret Clearance Required
We're hiring a Senior Product Security Engineer to help secure the next generation of cutting-edge defense technologies.
This role is all about protecting hardware — not just the software that runs on it. You’ll work hands-on with advanced micro-electronics, develop innovative security tools, and simulate real-world attacks to uncover vulnerabilities before adversaries do.
This position is part of a high-impact team supporting the Intelligence Community. You'll play a critical role in shaping how advanced systems are protected from the ground up — from circuit boards to manufacturing processes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development and refinement of security features across key hardware products
- Collaborate with engineers to design solutions that meet or exceed industry security standards
- Simulate attacks on physical systems and components to identify potential vulnerabilities
- Work closely with manufacturing and ops teams to ensure secure handling and operational practices
- Address and remediate design or process weaknesses uncovered through testing and research
What You’ll Bring
- Hands-on experience with side channel attack techniques and mitigation strategies
- Knowledge of PCB design toolchains (e.g., Altium or similar)
- Understanding of PCB fabrication techniques and hardware engineering workflows
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
- Experience using thermal analysis tools (e.g., Ansys)
- Understanding of anti-tamper methods and reverse engineering defenses
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance (required)
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with programmable logic devices and related development tools
- Familiarity with security architectures in micro-electronics, EW, aerospace, or cyber-physical systems
- Experience with highly accelerated lifecycle testing (HALT)
