Join our team building digital payload systems for space based and mission critical communication platforms. You will be the lead engineer owning hardware, programmable logic and embedded software integration end to end, and the primary technical interface to the external payload hardware subcontractors building alongside you.
What You Will Do
- Lead hardware, programmable logic and embedded software technical efforts across internal teams and external subcontractors
- Serve as the responsible engineer and technical focal point for subcontracted hardware, reviewing and challenging designs, analyses and deliverables
- Drive system level architectural decisions spanning digital signal processing, FPGA partitioning and hardware to software interfaces
- Coordinate FPGA, DSP and embedded software development so integration and performance hold together
- Define and manage hardware, programmable logic and software interfaces and verification strategies
- Deliver technical briefings at PDR, CDR and internal milestone reviews
- Support payload integration and test by building in testability, diagnostics and integration readiness
- Support proposal development, BOEs and technical customer engagements tied to digital payload architectures
- Mentor and technically guide junior and mid level engineers across hardware and firmware
Required Qualifications
- Proven leadership of complex digital hardware designs involving programmable logic and embedded systems
