Summary
We are seeking a Red Hat Certified OpenShift Consultant with strong expertise in Advanced Cluster Management and hybrid cloud environments. This role will support the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of OpenShift clusters, with a heavy focus on networking, virtualization, and automation. The ideal candidate thrives in complex environments and brings deep hands-on experience across both containerized and VM-based workloads. This is a fully remote engagement approximately 1000 hours (~7 months) with potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage OpenShift clusters, including bare metal installations using Redfish and Virtual Media
- Configure and support Hybrid Cloud Console, Agent-based, and Assisted Installer deployments
- Implement and manage GitOps workflows and Helm-based deployments
- Support OpenShift Virtualization (OpenShift Virt), including VM migration (MTV) and lifecycle management
- Design and manage networking solutions, including OVS/Linux bridges, VLANs, and port configurations
- Configure storage and networking components, including iSCSI integrations
- Implement authentication and access controls, including RBAC and Okta integrations
- Manage OpenShift Operators and platform observability (logging, metrics, alerting)
- Perform cluster lifecycle activities, including upgrades, patches, and performance tuning
- Support both containerized and virtual machine workloads across environments
Requirements
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift (or equivalent hands-on expertise)
- Proven experience with OpenShift Advanced Cluster Management in enterprise environments
- Strong background in OpenShift networking, including deep understanding of port requirements
- Experience with OpenShift Virtualization and hybrid cloud deployments
- Hands-on experience with GitOps, Helm, and Kubernetes-based tooling
- Knowledge of authentication protocols, RBAC, and identity integrations (e.g., Okta)
- Experience with storage and networking technologies (iSCSI, VLANs, bridging)
- Ability to work PST hours in a fully remote environmentÂ
