Mount Indie is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer III / Test & Evaluation (T&E) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to
support the Taiwan Support Office (TSO) and U.S. Navy C4I acquisition efforts. The selected candidate will provide
systems engineering and acquisition-level Test & Evaluation expertise supporting complex System of Systems (SoS)
architecture, operational requirements analysis, test planning, requirements traceability, and technical documentation.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Acquisition Test & Evaluation professional who understands how to translate
operational requirements and CONOPS/ORDs into testable functional requirements and develop the planning and
documentation necessary to demonstrate system and SoS capability.
This position is not primarily a hands-on test execution or tester role. The successful candidate will be responsible for
driving and supporting test strategy, test planning, requirements traceability, acquisition documentation, Systems
Engineering and Technical Review (SETR) processes, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
The Systems Engineer III will work closely with the PMW 740 Taiwan Chief Engineer (CHENG) and other government,
program office, engineering, acquisition, and external stakeholders to support ongoing and emergent C4I milestone
analysis and Test & Evaluation activities.
What You’ll Do:
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support the Taiwan Support Office (TSO) with ongoing and emergent C4I milestone analysis and Systems
Engineering activities.
• Develop and support Test & Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) activities for complex Joint/System of Systems
architectures.
• Support development of a Capability Demonstration Test Plan, including test objectives, requirements,
methodology, resources, and evaluation criteria.
• Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) that trace operational requirements through
functional requirements and associated test objectives and verification methods.
• Analyze Operational Requirements Documents (ORDs), CONOPS, capability requirements, and other acquisition
documentation to identify requirements that must be verified and validated through testing.
• Support development of System of Systems test strategies and integration test planning across multiple systems,
interfaces, and external stakeholders.
• Develop and/or support Test Architecture, Software Test Plans, System Test Plans, Integration Test Plans (ITPs),
Test Reports, and Verification & Validation (V&V) documentation.
• Establish and maintain traceability between operational requirements, system requirements, functional
requirements, test objectives, test events, and verification results.
• Support Systems Engineering and Technical Review (SETR) processes and associated technical artifacts.• Support preparation for and execution of acquisition-level technical reviews, including development and
coordination of supporting documentation and entrance/exit criteria.
• Develop Capability Demonstration Test Objectives and support evaluation criteria.
• Support development and review of Integration Test Plans and Integration Test Reports.
• Evaluate test requirements and strategies across a complex System of Systems (SoS) environment.
• Coordinate with government program offices, engineering organizations, system developers, test organizations,
and other external stakeholders to understand dependencies, interfaces, operational scenarios, and SoS test
requirements.
• Lead or facilitate technical discussions involving T&E planning, requirements decomposition, test architecture,
verification, validation, and system integration.
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and risks between operational requirements and planned test activities.
• Provide technical recommendations regarding test readiness, requirements coverage, integration risks, and
verification strategies.
• Support acquisition documentation and milestone decision activities as directed by the Taiwan Chief Engineer.
• Develop briefings, technical assessments, engineering documentation, and status reports for government and
program leadership.
• Apply Systems Engineering principles throughout the acquisition lifecycle, with emphasis on requirements
analysis, integration, verification, validation, and Test & Evaluation.
• Perform other Systems Engineering and technical duties as assigned by the Government lead.
Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of professional experience in Systems Engineering, Test & Evaluation, Acquisition Engineering, or a
closely related discipline.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated experience supporting Test & Evaluation within a DoD acquisition environment.
• Strong understanding of Systems Engineering processes and acquisition lifecycle activities.
• Demonstrated experience decomposing operational requirements into functional and system-level requirements
that can be verified and tested.
• Experience developing or supporting Test & Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), Test Plans, Test Objectives, Test
Reports, or similar acquisition-level T&E documentation.
• Experience with System of Systems (SoS) architectures, integration, and test planning.
• Experience developing or maintaining Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
• Experience with Verification & Validation (V&V) processes and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and evaluate test strategies, test architectures, integration test plans, and test
methodologies.
• Experience supporting Systems Engineering and Technical Reviews (SETR) or comparable technical review
processes.
• Strong technical writing, analytical, communication, and briefing skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with government program offices, engineering organizations, acquisition
stakeholders, and external technical organizations.
• Ability to analyze complex technical information and translate it into clear acquisition and engineering
documentation.
• Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain the required clearance.
