Mount Indie is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join an energetic and growing team! This is an opportunity to work closely with Quality Management providing reliable reports and process improvement recommendations to monitor and improve overall product quality. In this role, you will support the company’s full business quality management system and production team.

What you'll do:

• Provide daily quality engineering support to production and manufacturing teams, resolving quality issues and minimizing disruption to production schedules.
• Monitor production processes to ensure products meet engineering specifications, drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements.
• Investigate and disposition production nonconformances, defects, and material issues, including containment and root cause analysis.
• Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities and coordinate disposition of nonconforming material.
• Support supplier quality issues, including supplier rejections, incoming material nonconformances, SCARs, and supplier corrective actions.
• Support implementation of inspection plans, control plans, process controls, and sampling plans.
• Assist with process audits, product audits, and internal QMS audits, including identification and closure of audit findings.
• Ensure production quality records are accurate, complete, traceable, and maintained in accordance with QMS and AS9100/ISO requirements.
• Escalate significant quality issues and provide leadership with clear communication regarding production impact, containment status, root cause, and corrective-action progress.

Requirements

We are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree or High school diploma with relevant experience.
• 3-5 years experience as a Quality Engineer or Technician in an assembly environment
• Solid judgment to proactively identify and solve complex problems
• Hands on experience with reading engineering drawings and interpreting technical information to include GD&T tolerancing
• Experience with collecting data for generating quality reports
• Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in changing situations
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across departments and with supervisors and managers
• Active secret clearance or ability to obtain a clearance
• US Citizen

Nice to have:

• Understanding of electronic circuitry
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP
• ASQ Certification (Engineer or Auditor)
• Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100
