Position Overview

We are seeking a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 (RHEL 10) Consultant with strong experience optimizing Linux systems for low-latency, high-frequency network environments. The consultant will focus on system, kernel, CPU, and network performance tuning to minimize latency and maximize overall system efficiency. This project is approximately 500 hours with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize RHEL systems for low-latency and high-performance workloads.
• Perform Linux network performance tuning to reduce latency, packet loss, and retransmissions.
• Optimize network interface and Ethernet performance, including buffer and interrupt configurations.
• Balance network processing across CPU cores and system architecture to maximize performance.
• Analyze and troubleshoot network and kernel performance issues using standard Linux diagnostic and monitoring tools.
• Tune Linux kernel and networking parameters to improve packet processing and overall system responsiveness.
• Monitor system performance to identify network bottlenecks, packet-processing limitations, and latency issues.
• Document system tuning, configuration changes, and performance improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, preferably RHEL 8/9/10.
• Demonstrated experience with Linux performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong understanding of Linux networking, kernel performance, CPU utilization, and interrupt handling.
• Experience optimizing Linux systems for low-latency or high-performance environments.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting network latency, packet loss, retransmissions, and performance bottlenecks.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex Linux performance issues.
