Can you figure it out and get it done? That is what we are hiring for.
Mount Indie needs an exceptional early-career professional who can take an objective, close the gaps, learn the tools, organize the chaos, and deliver. We care less about specialized education and experience than about drive, ownership, intelligence, judgment, and follow-through.
You will work in our Project Management Office (PMO) on schedules, data, reporting, tools, and processes that keep complex technical projects moving at fast speed. You will learn Microsoft Project, Excel, analytics, AI-enabled workflows, project controls, business operations, contracts, finance, and the mechanics of real program execution.
You do not need to know all of that on day one. You need to be smart enough, disciplined enough, and driven enough to learn it fast.
For the right person, this is a launchpad into project management, business leadership, finance, contracts, operations, program management, or other high-value career paths.
What you’ll do:
At this company, you will help turn complex project activity into clear information, useful tools, and better decisions. You will support project managers, program managers, and business leaders by connecting schedules, data, reporting mechanisms, and tools to produce organized and actionable insights.
You will:
- Support project schedules that help teams understand priorities, dependencies, milestones, risks, and progress.
- Use AI and other modern tools to learn faster, build better work products, automate repetitive tasks, and improve the way the PMO operates.
- Develop spreadsheets, dashboards, and analytical tools that pull data from multiple sources and process it into visual representations that inform projects and the business.
- Develop innovative tools, templates, reports, workflows, and processes for project management, project controls, and business analytics.
- Communicate with people at all levels of the organization to ensure necessary project data is entered, complete, accurate, and useful.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, risks, or opportunities in project information and take initiative to help resolve them.
- Help turn complex technical and business activity into clear, structured information that leaders and teams can act on.
- Learn the language and mechanics of project execution, including schedules, baselines, milestones, dependencies, risks, financial data, contracts, deliverables, and customer commitments.
Requirements:
We are looking for a high-potential person more than a finished résumé.
The strongest candidate may not have direct project controls experience yet. They may not have used Microsoft Project professionally. They may not be an advanced Excel user today. That is acceptable if they have the intellect, work ethic, humility, and initiative to learn quickly and become excellent.
The right person will be:
- Smart, curious, and fast-learning.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to figure things out.
- Able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical people.
- Willing to ask good questions without needing constant direction.
- Excited to use modern tools, including AI, to learn, build, automate, analyze, and improve.
Required Qualifications:
- US-only Citizen (no dual citizenships) capable of obtaining a security clearance.
- In lieu of formal college education, demonstrated accomplishment of two or more long-term goals through dedicated daily work ethic.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, concepts, or domains quickly.
- Strong organizational habits and personal accountability.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks without losing track of details.
- Willingness to work in a technical environment and close knowledge gaps proactively.
