Position Summary

We are seeking a Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 (OCP 4) Platform Deployment Senior Consultant to support the deployment and implementation of an OpenShift environment in a customer environment in Charleston, SC.

This is a hands-on consulting engagement focused on OpenShift platform deployment, configuration, and integration, with an emphasis on CI/CD, DevOps, and GitOps practices. The consultant will work directly with customer technical teams to deploy and configure the platform, establish development and deployment workflows, and troubleshoot issues throughout the implementation.

The role will be onsite in Charleston, SC. Travel to Ridgecrest, CA may be required for the first couple of weeks while the VPN connection is established in Charleston, after which the engagement will continue onsite in Charleston.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 (OCP 4) in an enterprise environment.
• Perform OpenShift platform installation, configuration, integration, and validation.
• Support the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices within the OpenShift environment.
• Implement and support GitOps workflows for application and platform deployment.
• Configure and integrate OpenShift with underlying infrastructure and enterprise services.
• Troubleshoot issues related to OpenShift deployment, networking, storage, applications, and platform configuration.
• Support the development and implementation of automated deployment and configuration processes.
• Work with customer technical teams to understand requirements and implement OpenShift-based solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer around OpenShift, DevOps, CI/CD, and GitOps.
• Document platform configurations, deployment procedures, and technical recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.
• Experience deploying and configuring OpenShift environments.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience with GitOps methodologies and tooling.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Understanding of networking and storage within OpenShift environments.
• Strong customer-facing communication and consulting skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Charleston, SC.
• Ability to travel to Ridgecrest, CA for an initial period if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance.
• Red Hat OpenShift certifications.
• Experience with enterprise or production-scale OpenShift deployments.
• Experience with OpenShift networking, storage, authentication, and cluster configuration.
• Experience with tools such as Argo CD, Tekton, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD and GitOps technologies.
• Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) or other infrastructure automation tools.
• Previous experience working as a Red Hat consultant or Red Hat partner consultant.

• Potential initial travel to Ridgecrest, CA for a couple of weeks while the Charleston VPN is established
