Summary
We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Engineer to support a 3-month engagement focused on cluster upgrades and rebuilds from OpenShift 4.14 to 4.16. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Ansible automation, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments. This role is fully remote, U.S.-based only, and requires a background check with fingerprinting prior to start.
Responsibilities
- Support cluster upgrades and rebuilds from OpenShift 4.14 to 4.16
- Perform hardware pre-checks prior to cluster upgrades
- Leverage Ansible playbooks to automate cluster upgrades
- Troubleshoot and remediate issues encountered during upgrades
- Conduct post-upgrade health checks to ensure system stability
- Actively participate in team meetings with Client to provide updates on project status, blockers, and risks
Requirements

3–5 years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Ansible
- Strong troubleshooting and remediation skills in enterprise environments
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders
- Must be U.S. based – No C2C
- Ability to pass a background check, including fingerprinting (processing time ~6 weeks)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management
- Familiarity with Grafana
