We are looking for an LLM Engineer to help shape a groundbreaking project that combines advanced AI technology with a secure, high-impact mission. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a first-of-its-kind implementation of GitLab Duo in a FedRAMP-compliant environment, creating a model that could be replicated across other agencies. What You’ll Do

• Support the self-hosted implementation of GitLab Duo, including building and maintaining the AI gateway and LLM infrastructure
• Deploy and integrate solutions such as AWS Bedrock or vLLM within a secure OCI environment
• Partner closely with multiple agencies to coordinate networking requirements and ensure smooth implementation
• Apply security hardening to meet DoD STIG compliance standards
• Roll out the solution to a large developer community of 300+ supported application teams
• Contribute to a project that could serve as a blueprint for secure AI adoption across government organizations

What You Bring

• 3 years of professional experience in relevant fields to include DevSecOps and LLM/AI Engineering
• Active Secret / Tier 3 clearance
• Strong knowledge of secure infrastructure deployment and compliance standards (FedRAMP, STIGs)
• Preferred: Experience with large-scale system rollouts and stakeholder coordination
