Join our team building advanced digital processing systems and FPGA based subsystems for space based and mission critical communication platforms. You will own the hardware lifecycle of complex board designs while writing the RTL that runs on them, from concept and block diagrams through bring up, integration and flight qualification.

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement high speed digital boards, including schematic capture and layout guidelines
  • Develop, simulate and verify FPGA RTL in SystemVerilog, Verilog or VHDL for control, data processing and communication functions
  • Integrate and deploy firmware onto FPGA and FPGA SoC platforms
  • Design high speed interfaces including DDR4, SERDES, UART, I2C, SPI and LVDS, and run signal and power integrity simulations in HyperLynx
  • Conduct worst case analysis to verify electrical design margins across space environment conditions
  • Lead laboratory board bring up, hardware and firmware integration, and debug using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
  • Apply flight hardware and firmware design practices inside radiation tolerant, high reliability component and thermal constraints
  • Work mixed signal circuit design with high resolution ADC and DAC interfaces
  • Author and maintain design documentation including schematics, block diagrams, testbenches and interface control documents

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years combined in high speed digital board design and FPGA and RTL development
  • Proficiency writing synthesizable RTL in SystemVerilog, Verilog or VHDL
  • Hands on work with FPGA design suites and EDA tools such as AMD Xilinx Vivado, Intel Altera Quartus or Synopsys Synplify
  • Hands on work with schematic capture tools such as Mentor Xpedition, Cadence or Altium
  • Proven laboratory debugging, integrating firmware onto physical target boards
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Signal and power integrity simulation in HyperLynx
  • Worst case analysis across space environment conditions
  • Flight qualification work in a space or high reliability environment
