Job Title:            Mid-Market Senior Account Executive   


Location:        Livingston, NJ – 4 days/week in office


Compensation: Very competitive salary ($150k+), benefits, PTO, etc.    


Job Summary:

The Senior Account Executive’s primary responsibility is to retain and build upon an established book of business with a focus on delivering and creating additional value for clients through in-depth insurance knowledge to support a continued, long-term relationship while meeting or exceeding annual sales and retention goals.


Duties/Responsibilities:

·        Develop and maintain favorable relationships with new and existing clients and Underwriters.  

·        Analyzes insurance needs, markets to insurers to secure optimum coverage and cost terms for all property and casualty clients.

·        Negotiates quotes and coverages with underwriters to obtain the most competitive terms.

·        Inputs and maintains all customer related insurance data into the corporate agency management system – Applied Epic.

·        Responds to exposure questions from underwriters and coverage questions from clients.

·        Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

·        Maintain awareness, learning and technical knowledge of insurance coverages, insurance industry changes, emerging risks and coverage solutions, competition, carriers, and other areas of business acumen that enable you to provide client and prospect advice and limits the agency’s E&O exposure

·        Maintain active participation in associations and networking groups relevant to the clients within the book of business

  • Familiarity with various lines of coverage with expertise in at least two of the following: General Liability, Property, Auto, WC, Umbrella/Excess, Crime, Cyber D&O, Employment Practices Liability, Pollution and Errors & Omissions.
  • Preparation of proposals, comparisons of coverage, schedules of insurance, underwriting schedules, insurance applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.

·        Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative and solve problems effectively and independently

·        Solve client problems and diffuse escalated matters

·        Manage and is accountable for renewal strategy on assigned account leading the renewal marketing process, coordinating with producer to develop proposals and recommendations

·        Maintain relationships with carrier representatives, stay abreast of new products, carrier procedural changes and market trends

·        Must have existing time management skills and take accountability to meet deadlines effectively

 

Education/Experience/Licenses:

·        College Degree or demonstrated equivalent work experience

·        Property & Casualty Producers License

·        10 or more years of Experience required

·        Applied Epic preferred
