Role Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced insurance professional to lead their Private Client Division. In this role, you will own the day-to-day performance of a personal lines team handling home, auto, umbrella, and specialty policies for a high-net-worth clientele. You will set the tone for service excellence, develop your team, drive retention, and serve as the key liaison between carriers and clients. Reporting directly to the Director of Client Services, you will play a central role in shaping how the department operates and grows.
Responsibilities
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of personal lines Account Managers, CSRs and support staff, setting performance goals and conducting regular evaluations.
• Maintain high-quality service standards, resolve escalated client issues, and develop retention strategies to grow the book of business.
• Oversee departmental workflows and procedures, monitor KPIs through CRM dashboards, and ensure compliance with agency standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assess team capacity, manage hiring needs, and lead onboarding and ongoing training for personal lines staff.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, staying current on appetite changes, product updates, and market trends.
• Ensure adherence to state insurance regulations, maintain accurate documentation, and implement E&O risk mitigation best practices.
Qualifications
• Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required.
• 10+ years of experience in personal lines insurance, with strong knowledge of home, auto, umbrella, and specialty products.
• 3+ years in a supervisory or management role, with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
• Proficiency in agency management systems; Salesforce experience a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
