Job Location
On site in Putnam County, New York (Hudson Valley) and Western Connecticut. Travel between campuses is expected. This role is not remote.
Role Summary
You will run the project management side of a multi-year network infrastructure program for a large regional health system. The program centers on a large-scale network re-engineering effort across hospital, clinic, and administrative sites. Work runs across multiple campuses, in Putnam County, New York and Western Connecticut. Clinical environments run around the clock, so cutover work happens inside tight, planned maintenance windows.
You will own scope, schedule, and delivery for assigned workstreams. You will coordinate network engineering, facilities, and clinical operations teams, plan the cutover windows, and keep program leadership current on progress and risk. Some travel between the two campuses is expected.
This is one of three openings on the same program team, so you will work alongside peers rather than carrying the whole schedule alone.
Responsibilities
• Plan and manage assigned workstreams: define scope, set milestones, assign owners, and track execution to completion.
• Lead site readiness and cutover planning with network engineering, facilities, and clinical operations teams.
• Prepare and deliver status reporting to program leadership, covering schedule health, budget position, and open risks.
• Run change control, escalate blockers early, and drive issues to resolution rather than waiting for the next status meeting.
• Coordinate vendors and third-party resources, confirm deliverables against contract, and resolve delivery problems.
• Document decisions, dependencies, and lessons learned so each site moves faster than the one before it.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on project management experience.
• Five to seven years managing information technology infrastructure projects, ideally in a hospital, health system, or other environment that operates around the clock.
• Working command of network infrastructure concepts: routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, and internet protocol addressing.
• Track record running multi-site programs with firm cutover windows and little tolerance for downtime.
• Clear written and verbal communication with engineers and with non-technical stakeholders.
• Project Management Professional certification preferred. Address renumbering, data center migration, or merger integration experience is a strong plus.
Why apply for this position?
• A funded, multi-year program with interesting work and a high quality team.
• Full-time W-2 employment with benefits, rather than a contract or agency assignment.
• Base salary of $115,000 to $140,000 depending on experience.
• Steady, reliable employer with 35+ years of experience and a quality culture
