Commercial Lines Account Executive

Role Summary
Our client is a growing boutique commercial insurance brokerage based in Morristown, NJ with a strong reputation for delivering tailored coverage solutions to mid-to-large commercial clients across industries including manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, and professional services. Known for their collaborative culture, high standards, and a work environment that rivals the corporate firms without the red tape, they are looking to add an experienced Commercial Lines Account Executive to their team. In this role, you will manage a complex book of commercial accounts, serve as the primary relationship owner for your clients, and partner with producers and specialty carriers to design and place comprehensive coverage programs across a full range of P&C lines.
Responsibilities
- Manage a book of complex commercial insurance accounts, maintaining high client satisfaction and retention across industries including manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, and professional services
- Serve as the primary point of contact for mid-to-large commercial clients, building long-term relationships and acting as a trusted advisor on coverage strategy
- Evaluate client risk profiles and design comprehensive insurance solutions, including program structuring and renewal strategies
- Proactively market accounts to insurance carriers and specialty brokers, negotiating favorable terms on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with producers and carriers to develop customized coverage strategies for new and renewal business across GL, Property, WC, Auto, Umbrella, E&O, and Cyber lines
- Ensure timely and accurate policy servicing, including endorsements, certificates, audits, and billing resolutions
- Maintain compliance and keep detailed client records in AMS 360 (or equivalent agency management system)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Commercial Lines insurance with a focus on complex P&C risks
- Strong working knowledge of commercial insurance products including GL, Property, WC, Auto, Umbrella, E&O, and Cyber
- Proven success managing large or complex commercial accounts with direct exposure to C-level client relationships
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage a diverse portfolio of clients in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with AMS 360 Agency Management System preferred; Applied Epic or TAM also acceptable
- NJ Property & Casualty license required; CIC, CRM, or CPCU designation a plus
- Exceptional relationship management, communication, and consultative selling skills with a client-first approach
