Location: Livingston, NJ (Hybrid schedule after a 90-day probation period)

Compensation: $100,000 to125,000 Base Salary + New Business Incentive


Job Overview


Our client, an established independent insurance brokerage in Livingston, NJ, is hiring a Commercial Lines Account Executive to handle the servicing and marketing needs of its commercial clients. You will own client service and the full marketing cycle: developing underwriting submissions, comparing and analyzing quotes, and negotiating policy terms and conditions.


You will be the day-to-day point of contact for your book, supporting all aspects of new and renewal business and keeping documentation, record keeping, and processing accurate. You will work with team members and the team leader to design and implement current and prospective client insurance programs on a 120-day renewal timeline.


Active New Jersey Property & Casualty license required. Candidates without one will not be considered.


Responsibilities


* Work within a 120-day renewal timeline and on short timelines in competitive situations for prospective clients

* Gather and analyze underwriting information (exposure basis, complete renewal applications, corresponding coverage needs) and create submissions

* Compare competitive quotes, and compare binders and policies against quoted coverage and underwriting information

* Process premium billing and premium financing; prepare, review, and distribute certificates of insurance and auto ID cards

* Process, review, and distribute endorsements; manage policy changes and documentation in the agency management system

* Respond to client questions and issues, and support the team leader in client retention


Qualifications


* Active New Jersey Property & Casualty insurance license (required)

* Understanding of processes, procedures, and timelines for new and renewal P&C business, with a comprehensive understanding of property and casualty coverages

* Working knowledge of an agency management system (Applied Systems or comparable; Applied Epic preferred)

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, detail oriented, with excellent organization and time management

* Excellent verbal and written communication and strong relationship-building skills with clients, underwriters, and team members

* College degree or demonstrated equivalent work experience; insurance designations (ARM, CIC, CPCU) preferred


Compensation & Benefits


* $100,000 - 125,000 base salary, depending on experience
