Day Shift- $45/hr (anything over 40 hours or over 8 hours in a day is OT) Healthcare, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurance offered and eligible to sign up after 30 days.
Job Purpose
As a high-visibility member of the Food Safety & Quality team, you’ll manage and coordinate all quality-compliance activities across our manufacturing site. You’ll own audit-ready processes for food safety and regulatory programs—including FSSC 22000, FSMA, Non-GMO, Organic, Kosher and related standards—and help the team maintain 100% compliance.
Essential Responsibilities

Program Ownership: Maintain and review all food-safety and regulatory compliance records (CCPs, OPRPs, PCs), such as processor, sterile-tank and filler charts, CIP logs, raw-receiving and sugar-tank records.

Deviation Management: Escalate and drive corrective-action plans for any process deviations or non-conformances.

Root-Cause Investigations: Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to close out issues and prevent recurrence.

Audit Support: Prepare for and support internal, regulatory and customer audits; coordinate CAPA close-out.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure HACCP/FSHCP, FSMA, GMP, Non-GMO, Organic and Kosher activities are performed and documented properly.

Complaint Handling: Lead consumer- or customer-complaint investigations from root-cause through resolution.

Equipment Calibration: Verify equipment calibration and maintenance schedules; maintain calibration records.

Transition Management: Oversee product and packaging line changeovers to guarantee compliance and documentation.

Program Administration: Support complaint-management, pest-control and traceability initiatives.

Document Control: Administer and update controlled procedures, work instructions and training materials.

Training Delivery: Develop and deliver food-safety and quality training; keep materials current.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to bolster safety and quality systems.

Backup Support: Serve as backup to the QFS Compliance Supervisor as needed.

Safety: Follow and promote all established safety practices in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience
- BS/BA in Food Science, Technical Field or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years in food- or ingredient-manufacturing compliance roles
- PCQI certification
- GFSI audit/internal-auditor training (e.g. FSSC 22000, HACCP)
Knowledge & Skills
- Federal & state regulatory requirements (FSMA, GMP, etc.)
- Familiarity with Non-GMO, Organic and Kosher processes
- Strong document-control and record-keeping abilities
- Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or similar systems preferred
- Ability to work independently, multitask and handle confidential materials under pressure
Required Experience in Food Safety & Regulatory Programs
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Food Safety Plans in compliance with FSMA requirements.
- Hands-on involvement with Food Defense programs, Vulnerability Assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with supplier verification, allergen control, sanitation controls, pest control, traceability, and recall programs.
- Experience supporting or leading regulatory, third-party, or customer audits (e.g., FDA, USDA, GFSI, FSSC 22000, SQF, BRCGS).
Preferred Certifications (any of the following):
- PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) certification.
- HACCP Certification (International HACCP Alliance).
- Internal Auditor certification for a GFSI-recognized scheme (FSSC 22000, SQF, or BRCGS).
- FSPCA Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) certification.
- Allergen Management or Sanitation certification (e.g., AIB, NSF, or equivalent).
Physical & Environmental Demands
- Prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping and climbing
- Manual dexterity for operating lab equipment, computer keyboards and tools
- Normal hearing and vision (including color perception) for record review and reporting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around production machinery, chemicals and solvents
- Adaptability to a fast-paced, pressurized environment with potentially variable shifts
