Job Description Summary:
Lead the design of industrial and transportation-adjacent site development projects, from concept through construction, with autonomy and direct client engagement.
Key Requirements:
· Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering.
· Active PE license.
· 5–10 years of experience in site civil design, ideally including industrial/transportation projects.
· Proficiency in Civil 3D or equivalent tools.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop grading, drainage, erosion control, and utility plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
· Design stormwater management systems in compliance with local/state requirements.
· Lead permitting efforts with cities, counties, and regulatory agencies.
· Review and stamp civil plan sets as the Engineer of Record.
· Direct work of EITs, CAD technicians, and junior engineers on assigned projects.
· Coordinate with the Rail Engineering team to integrate site and track design.
· Perform QA/QC of design documents and submittals.
· Attend client meetings, prepare technical reports, and assist in job scoping.
Ideal Candidate Profile: A licensed civil engineer with practical site design experience, comfortable owning projects, and confident interfacing with industrial clients and regulatory bodies.
