Position Title: Project Scheduler – Nuclear & Engineering Projects

Location & Schedule

  • Worksite: On‑site (no remote work)
  • Schedule: 4 days × 10 hours (e.g., Mon–Thu)
  • On‑Call: No
  • Per Diem: Allowed


Role Overview

You’ll deliver timely, coherent, comprehensive, and accurate project schedules for daily operations, online work, outage periods, and enterprise‑risk initiatives. Using Passport and Primavera P6, you’ll sequence activities, resolve conflicts, and build out‑year forecasts—keeping our Nuclear and Engineering Projects on track and compliant with safety and risk‑management protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule Development & Maintenance
  • Build and maintain schedules (date, time, sequence) in Passport and Primavera
  • Sync data and resolve discrepancies between both tools
  • Project Support
  • Assist Project Managers with online, outage, and lifecycle schedules (including Enterprise Risk projects)
  • Develop detailed plans, identify critical paths, and adjust as priorities shift
  • Conflict Resolution & Forecasting
  • Detect and resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Develop out‑year schedules for projects of various sizes
  • Reporting & Communication
  • Produce and distribute schedule reports to stakeholders
  • Lead schedule review meetings and post‑work critiques
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze schedule performance and recommend process enhancements

Required Education & Experience

Choose one of the following pathways:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Nuclear Engineering (or Nuclear Technology)
  2. + 8 years’ nuclear power generation experience in operations, maintenance, engineering, or technical project management
  3. Associate’s degree in the above fields
  4. + 10 years’ relevant nuclear power generation experience
  5. High School Diploma/GED
  6. + 12 years’ journey‑level experience in operations, maintenance, engineering, or Quality Control within nuclear power generation

Must‑Have Certifications & Tool Proficiency

  • Passport Work‑Management System (advanced knowledge)
  • Primavera P6 Scheduling
  • Primavera 106 Training OR ≥ 4 years hands‑on Primavera experience

Preferred Education & Experience

  1. SRO License or equivalent certification
  2. Advanced knowledge of work management and outage procedures
  3. In‑depth Passport program/database expertise and Primavera interface
  4. Advanced Primavera P6 techniques (scheduling, resource leveling)
  5. Crystal Reports or similar SQL‑based report development
  6. Experience with Paragon risk‑management software (outage & online)
  7. Familiarity with situational leadership and performance management
  8. Additional PMP or advanced project‑management credentials

Required Abilities & Skills

  • Primavera P6 & Scheduling Techniques: Advanced
  • Passport System: Advanced database and interface knowledge
  • Crystal Reports/Database Analysis: Working proficiency
  • Paragon Software: Working knowledge of risk‑management applications
  • PMP‑Level Project Management: Demonstrated application

  5. Lead schedule review meetings and post‑work critiques
  6. Mentor and maximize team performance through effective leadership
  7. Develop Crystal Reports or SQL‑based queries for schedule data
  8. Drive continuous improvement in scheduling processes
