Job Title: UX (User Experience) Consumer & Sensory Contractor
 Location: Hybrid – Based in White Plains, NY
 Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential to Extend)
Position Overview
The UX Consumer & Sensory Contractor will support multiple product categories by designing and delivering consumer and sensory research that drives exceptional product experiences. This role partners closely with R&I, Marketing, and Cross-Functional teams to translate consumer insights into actionable recommendations for innovation, renovation, and product optimization.
You’ll lead research that connects what consumers feel with what they taste and experience, influencing how future products come to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead consumer and sensory research projects from design to delivery.
- Partner with R&I, Market Research, and Brand teams to plan and execute research that informs product development and go-to-market decisions.
- Translate qualitative and quantitative data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
- Drive cross-functional decision-making by providing consumer-centric perspective and clarity through ambiguity.
- Manage strategic research initiatives that inform innovation pipelines and improve existing products.
- Present findings and influence stakeholders at all levels with concise, data-driven storytelling.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Science, Sensory Science, Market Research, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in Consumer Research and/or Sensory Evaluation within the CPG industry.
- Strong command of sensory and consumer research methods (qualitative and quantitative).
- Skilled in data interpretation, with the ability to translate findings into business insights.
- Confident communicator who can influence cross-functional partners.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience with food or beverage categories, particularly dairy or similar product lines.
- Proven success managing projects from concept through execution within a CPG environment.
