Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Network Systems Tec 2 (AV/Video Teleconferencing) opportunity in Los Alamos, NM to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required

Work Location: The work location for this position is Onsite with possible travel.

Schedule: 9/80s or 5/8s schedule. Occasional overtime.

Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance.

Summary:

• Manages the performance and profile of networked computer systems in support of programmatic activities.
• Provides technical assistance to computer system users.
• Assures computer system configurations conform to Institutional security requirements.
• Must learn job skills and become familiar with Laboratory policies to complete assignments.
• Has a good knowledge and limited experience using and applying technical principles, theories, and concepts.
• Assignments are relatively simple but may require the application of basic skills related to the technical specialty.
• Responsible for developing solutions to routine technical problems of moderate scope and has minimal responsibility for end products.
• Instructions are specific and detailed, and work is closely supervised.
• Depending on the day's needs, the person may be out doing field work and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

• Position requires a high school diploma and one-to-two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge in AV equipment, set-up, troubleshooting, and understanding of Video Teleconferencing.
• Professional customer service skills, work ethics, and respect for others is required.
• The semi-skilled level network systems technician has some relevant experience, training, or education.

Other Job Details:

• This position will require walking and standing do perform fieldwork and troubleshooting.
