Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Electrical Engineer opportunity to support the Hanford Site.

 

Work Location: Richland, WA and Remote

Security Clearance: No clearance requirement

 

Scope of Work:

The Electrical Engineering staff’s work activity includes engineering support to accomplish:

  1. Electrical Risk Assessments.
  2. Support Company Design Authorities in the review of design deliverables (e.g., design change notices, specifications, calculations, technical reports, etc.) for Reliability Investment Portfolio Projects.
  3. Peer review and Subject Matter Expert review of Company-generated engineering change requests.
  4. Provide support for facility walkdowns and drawing as-builts.
  5. Respond to miscellaneous information requests from Company Engineering Management or Design Authorities.
  6. Author/Peer-Review engineering change requests and calculations. This includes generating drawings/sketches, calculations, and design criteria in accordance with Company procedures.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 to 20+ years of engineering experience.
  • Previous or Current Electrical Risk Assessment Preparation credentials:
  • NFPA 70E formal training, required every 3 years (HAMMER 043870 or equivalent)
  • DOE-0359 Hanford Site Electrical Safety Program training (HAMMER 044482)
  • Experience and proficiency with the application and use of the Document Management and Control System (DMCS) and Engineering Package Workflow as an author, Design Authority, or Engineering Manager. This is the system utilized by the Company to route documents and drawings for review, approval, and release.
  • SKM Power Tools experience and capabilities for generating and revising arc flash calculations and proficiency in the use of the software to successfully respond to the tasks described in the Scope of Work.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Washington State Professional Engineering license.
