Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Configuration Management & Information Technologist opportunity in Johnson City, TN.

Position Overview:

The Configuration Management and Information Technologist is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and improving configuration management processes, information systems, and technology infrastructure. This role ensures that hardware, software, documentation, and system configurations are accurately controlled, tracked, and maintained throughout their lifecycle. The position also supports information technology operations, data integrity, cybersecurity compliance, and system performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems, servers, networks, and software applications.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Provide technical support and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Ensure data security, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity measures are in place.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives, vulnerability assessments, and compliance requirements.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and system procedures.
• Generate reports on configuration status, system performance, and compliance metrics.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or, equivalent amount of experience
• 10+ years of experienced in information technology and information systems
• Extensive experience providing support for hardware, software and network systems is required
