Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a WTP Performance Oversight Consultant opportunity in Richland, WA for the DOE Hanford Field Office.

 

Position Overview:

  • The Waste Treatment Plant (WTP) Performance Oversight Consultant will provide support in the following areas:
  • Perform support functions to Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP) and WTP Federal Project Directors by providing quality related oversight functions, perform as an oversight team member lead, develop self-assessment plans, participate in performance of self-assessments, and document results.
  • Perform oversight of contractor efforts to address findings, including monitoring and reporting on any improvements in contractor’s Assurance Program, extent of       condition reviews, and issue resolution efforts.
  • Field oversight of assigned scope to ensure contractors properly implement contractual requirements, providing a safe work environment, and demonstrating conformance with overall DOE safety performance standards and principles.
  • Prepare and submit Operational Awareness and Surveillance reports for assigned scope documented in the DOE iCAS database detailing oversight activities including document reviews, field observations, and personnel interviews.
  • Provide WTP Performance Assurance support to the Assistant Manager WTP (AMWTP), Deputy AMWTP, and to Division Directors.
  • Review and comment on new and revised HFO Performance Assurances procedures and WTP oversight reports.
  • Support the WTP Assistant Manager and Deputy Manager.
  • Provide auditing and training support.
  • Utilize excellent writing and communication skills in all interactions.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in relevant field.
  • 35 years of nuclear operations experience and 5 years of direct experience with WTP. 
  • Experience writing assessment reports and performance assurance for the WTP project.
  • Expert knowledge of operations, maintenance and training programs for WTP.
  • Experience with researching and navigating complex federal regulations.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct HFO experience with the Hanford Site mission and WTP project, activities, and priorities.
  • Experience with leadership and team training
  • Proven track record of success in nuclear industry
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities including in-depth proficiency with DOE’s program management practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft 365.

  • United States Citizenship

 

Work Location: Work shall be conducted at the Hanford Field Office and the Hanford Site in Richland, WA with eligibility for situational telework at the discretion of management.

 

Compensation:

Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $120,000 and $220,000 annually.
