The Senior Oracle Primavera Solutions Architect serves as the principal architect for enterprise-wide project controls and business application solutions supporting Los Alamos National Laboratory. This role provides technical leadership for the design, implementation, integration, and administration of complex Oracle Primavera, database, middleware, and enterprise application environments.
The successful candidate will architect and support enterprise solutions utilizing Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (P6 EPPM), Oracle Project Integration Framework (PIF), Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Database, and Microsoft SQL Server technologies. This individual will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise solutions supporting project controls, scheduling, estimating, cost management, and Laboratory business operations.
The Solutions Architect leads complex technical initiatives from concept through implementation, develops enterprise architecture standards, provides technical leadership to cross-functional teams, and ensures solutions align with Laboratory objectives, cybersecurity requirements, and DOE standards.
Key responsibilities include:
· Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise Oracle Primavera and project controls solutions.
· Architect, implement, administer, and optimize Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server environments supporting enterprise applications.
· Design, configure, and maintain Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (P6 EPPM) environments.
· Provide technical leadership for Oracle Project Integration Framework (PIF) integrations between Primavera and enterprise business systems.
· Administer and support Oracle WebLogic application servers for enterprise web applications.
· Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL (T-SQL) and PL/SQL code supporting enterprise databases and integrations.
· Research, evaluate, and implement innovative enterprise technologies that improve Laboratory business processes.
· Gather customer requirements and translate business needs into scalable enterprise architecture solutions.
· Lead cross-functional teams through planning, implementation, testing, deployment, documentation, and user training.
· Develop enterprise architecture standards, technical documentation, and implementation best practices.
· Ensure compliance with DOE cybersecurity requirements, Laboratory policies, and enterprise architecture standards.
· Mentor technical staff and provide architectural guidance across multiple technology disciplines.
· Promote a culture of safety, security, quality, and continuous improvement..
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline and 12 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Expert experience implementing, administering, maintaining, and supporting Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
· Advanced experience designing, implementing, and administering Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (P6 EPPM) solutions.
· Expert knowledge of Oracle Project Integration Framework (PIF) and enterprise application integration technologies.
· Strong experience configuring, administering, and supporting Oracle WebLogic application servers.
· Advanced proficiency developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing SQL (T-SQL) and PL/SQL code.
· Experience supporting enterprise project controls environments, including project scheduling, estimating, cost management, portfolio management, and enterprise application integration.
· Demonstrated experience architecting and integrating enterprise software, database, middleware, networking, and infrastructure solutions.
· Strong understanding of enterprise web application delivery, systems integration, data management, security, and software development best practices.
· Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects, develop enterprise architecture standards, and provide technical leadership across multiple disciplines.
· Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, leadership, and project management skills..
Desired Qualifications:
· Experience supporting Department of Energy (DOE) or National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) programs.
· Experience supporting enterprise Project Controls environments utilizing Oracle Primavera technologies.
· Knowledge of enterprise systems integration and middleware technologies.
· Experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) enterprise software implementation.
· Professional certifications related to Oracle technologies, Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, or Cloud Platforms.
