Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Project QA/QC opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.

Project QA/QC-

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare plans to include schedules, budgets, and personnel requirements to solve technical and quality engineering tasks identified by management. 
  • Develop schedules, monitor progress, monitor budget expenditures, and review the quality of work completed to ensure that technical and quality requirements are met.
  • Support facility/project needs within the assigned area by conducting procurement, procedure, and work package review.
  • Communicate objectives and results to customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Prepare reports, professional papers, and articles for internal publication; occasionally prepare reports for external publication.
  • Communicate with DOE Sr. personnel regarding the QA/QC Program and corrective action status.
  • Enhance expertise in the field through leadership in local technical societies.
  • Experience in quality control/assurance execution in nuclear (DOE preferred) or other industry executing line-item construction projects.
  • Working knowledge of SRNS and/or SRPPF processes and procedures.
  • Ability to perform weekly field walk-downs of the job site for engineering work being performed (these walk-downs may involve construction sites with uneven surfaces and work in-progress, walking for distances over a half mile, and climbing ladders to access remote areas).
  • Ability to monitor and validate quality of work package/construction reviews for the SRPPF Project.
  • Experience in the development, review, issuance, and execution of work control packages.
  • Experience in reviewing various discipline Engineering deliverables for conformance to specified design input requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and cultivate positive working relationships and interfaces with both internal and external customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

Education/Yrs. Of Experience:

 

  • Bachelor of Science degree with ten (10) years of quality control/quality assurance experience OR a High School diploma (or GED) with twenty (20 years) quality control/quality assurance experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Possessed an active DOE (“L” or “Q”) security clearance.

 

Other Job Requirements:

 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance.
