Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Analytical Chemist opportunity in East Tennessee.
Duration: Approximately 4 month contract
Position Summary:
The Analytical Chemist will provide on-site technical support for method implementation, validation support, documentation review, laboratory staff mentoring, and audit preparation.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Establish ISO-17025 compliant analytical procedures.
· Validation of required analytical methods.
· Provide technical guidance to laboratory staff.
· Support development and completion of quality documentation.
· Support analytical readiness for production.
· Review analytical data and verify QC performance.
· Assist in troubleshooting instrumentation and analytical processes.
· Assist with laboratory staff training as needed.
· Support development of training documentation.
· Provide on-site chemistry expertise.
· Guide laboratory chemists and technicians during analytical operations.
· Answer technical questions and troubleshoot analytical issues.
· Modify and refine analytical procedures as needed.
· Support validation activities including precision, accuracy, detection limits, linearity, matrix effects, and uncertainty evaluation.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or other relevant discipline, advanced degree preferred
· 15+ years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry
· Must have experience with ISO-17025
