Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Operations Support Specialist opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.

Position Overview:

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking motivated professionals to support Operational Readiness activities for major DOE nuclear projects in Oak Ridge, TN. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals currently supporting DOE operations, maintenance, engineering, training, or administrative functions who are looking to expand into startup and readiness activities.

The Operations Support Specialist for function as a Readiness Team Associate, working alongside experienced readiness professionals to help prepare new facilities and projects for safe, compliant operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with collecting, organizing, and tracking documentation required for Operational Readiness Reviews.
  • Support readiness teams by coordinating meetings, maintaining action item logs, and tracking project deliverables.
  • Review procedures, training records, qualification documentation, and operational records for completeness.
  • Help compile objective evidence demonstrating project readiness for startup.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, training, quality, and project personnel.
  • Maintain readiness databases, spreadsheets, and document repositories.
  • Learn DOE startup and readiness processes while supporting high-visibility nuclear projects.
  • Help ensure projects are prepared for safe, compliant operations.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a technical or business-related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience working at a DOE facility in an operations support, administrative support, project support, document control, training, maintenance support, work control, or similar role.
  • Exposure to DOE Orders, Conduct of Operations, startup activities, or readiness reviews.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience managing technical documents, records, procedures, or project documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

 

Other Job Requirements:

  • United States Citizenship
  • Active Q Clearance (preferred) or ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Security Clearance
