Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Procurement Engineer opportunity in Eunice, NM at the Urenco USA (UUSA) National Enrichment Facility.

 

Work Location: On-Site at Urenco

Must be US Citizen.

 

Urenco USA is a uranium enrichment facility located east of Eunice, NM and has been in operation since 2010. Urenco provides enriched uranium to the commercial nuclear power sector.

 

Job Description:

This position will provide Procurement Engineering with the following responsibilities:

  • Review and scrutinize purchase requisitions from all departments to ensure that quality requirements from the Quality Assurance Program Description (QAPD), design requirements, and license commitments are met.
  • Quickly obtain necessary formal qualifications (within 1-2 months or as directed by management/supervision) for procurement engineering role.
  • Make enhancements/improvements to procurement engineering processes and procedures.
  • Develop a program for management of obsolete and soon to be obsolete parts.
  • Ensure that a streamlined approach for equivalency evaluations by the Engineering and Projects department is proceduralized.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10-20+ years procurement engineering experience for nuclear operations
  • Experience supporting licensing qualifications
