A leading provider of quality eyewear is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Optometrist. As an integral part of the optical practice, the Optometrist will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating various vision conditions, and assisting customers in selecting appropriate eyewear options. Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and ocular health.
Prescribe and dispense corrective lenses, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, based on individual patient needs and preferences.
Conduct thorough evaluations of ocular health.
Provide personalized recommendations for eyewear options, considering factors such as lifestyle, occupation, and aesthetic preferences.
Educate patients about proper eye care practices, lens maintenance, and the importance of regular eye examinations.
Collaborate with other members of the optical team, including opticians and support staff, to ensure seamless patient care and satisfaction.
Stay updated on advancements in optometry, emerging technologies, and industry trends to enhance clinical expertise and service offerings.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state license to practice optometry. Board certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Optometry (ABO).
Proven experience in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and diagnosing/treating vision disorders.
Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in refractive testing, slit-lamp examination, and fundoscopic evaluation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and effectively explain complex concepts.
Detail-oriented approach to patient care, ensuring accurate assessment and documentation of findings.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in optometry.
