Confidential Client | Multi-Site Manufacturing Operations | Leadership Opportunity
This role is based on-site in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and will provide leadership across multiple nearby manufacturing operations.
Our client, a well-established industrial manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the operational and financial performance of a multi-site manufacturing business.
This executive leadership role is responsible for driving profitability, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, safety, quality, productivity, and leadership development. The successful candidate will be a highly visible, hands-on leader who can balance strategic business leadership with day-to-day operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Financial Leadership
- Lead overall performance across multiple manufacturing operations
- Own P&L performance, profitability, labor efficiency, productivity, and operating results
- Ensure customer expectations are consistently met across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and service
- Use operational and financial data to identify issues, drive corrective action, and improve performance
- Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and business planning
Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
- Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Improve throughput, capacity, labor utilization, process flow, and operational efficiency
- Utilize root cause analysis and structured problem solving to drive sustainable improvements
- Strengthen operating systems, processes, and accountability across the organization
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop a cross-functional manufacturing leadership team
- Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Strengthen leadership capability and succession planning
- Partner with Human Resources to attract, retain, and develop high-performing talent
Customer, Safety & Quality Leadership
- Serve as a senior operational partner for current and prospective customers
- Support new business opportunities, capacity planning, and operational assessments
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
- Drive improvements in quality, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
- 5+ years of senior leadership experience with responsibility for operational and financial performance
- Demonstrated success leading complex manufacturing operations
- Experience within metal fabrication, custom manufacturing, job-shop manufacturing, precision manufacturing, or a comparable industrial environment strongly preferred
- Proven P&L management and strong business acumen
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems, production planning, scheduling, and capacity management
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Experience developing leaders and high-performing teams
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Business, Finance, or related field preferred
