TI’s legal department is seeking a talented Patent Attorney with a background in semiconductor engineering within the Embedded Processors, Device Manufacturing, and Analog Design space. As a Patent Attorney at TI, you will immerse yourself in our cutting-edge technologies, developing a thorough understanding that will enable you to create inventive patent strategies. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting in-depth analysis of various technologies. 
  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in alignment with strategic goals. 
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to identify patentable inventions.
  • Developing and maintaining a portfolio of patents in the designated area of expertise.
  • Providing legal counsel on patent-related matters, including infringement and licensing.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • 4+ years of patent prosecution experience
  • Registration as a patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
  • Admission in good standing with a state legal bar
  • Experience with patent application and prosecution

Preferred Qualifications:

  •    3+ years of experience as an engineer or scientist in a technical role
  •    Experience and familiarity with processor architectures, digital signal processing, machine learning, digital communications, or integrated circuit design
