What You’ll Do
- Develop accurate cost estimates from concept to final documents for $1M–$75M projects
- Analyze constructability, identify risks, and recommend cost-saving strategies
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy, value, and compliance
- Stay up to date on construction methods, materials, and estimating technology
- Lead pre-bid efforts and coordinate with project teams during planning
- Negotiate with subcontractors/vendors and build lasting industry relationships
- Mentor junior estimators and support team development
- Manage multiple bids, timelines, and shifting priorities with confidence
Experience Needed
- BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Typically 4-5 years of estimating experience on $1M–$75M projects
- Strong knowledge of estimating tools like Procore, Bluebeam, or BuildingConnected
- Software skills: Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Apps required.
- Confidence in reading construction drawings and budgets
- Leadership experience, mentoring junior team members
- Must pass a criminal background check, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
