As Director of Preconstruction at Envoy, your day starts with a seat at the table, partnering with developers, designers, and internal teams to bring bold visions to life. You will guide the early stages of impactful projects, using your strategic mindset and hands-on leadership to ensure every detail, from budgets to constructability, is thoughtfully planned. It is a collaborative environment where your expertise sets the tone for success.

Location: Fishers, IN | Full-time, on-site with one remote day per week

What You’ll Lead & Own

• Set the direction for preconstruction by driving goals, improving processes, and launching strong projects
• Mentor a high-performing team through hands-on leadership, technical support, and development
• Shape project feasibility by turning early concepts into accurate budgets and strategic plans
• Lead design collaboration by solving risks early, driving value engineering, and ensuring constructability
• Manage bidding and procurement from bid package creation to proposal review and subcontractor selection
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, municipalities, design teams, and internal partners
• Own the handoff to construction by delivering clear budgets, scopes, and aligned documentation
• Maintain cost databases to keep historical data accurate and support reliable estimating
• Support permitting efforts by guiding clients through local code requirements and approvals

Experience Needed

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 15 years of estimating experience in public & commercial construction on $1M–$75M projects
• Strong knowledge of project management software like Procore, Prolog, or Constructware
• Software skills: Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Apps required.
• Exceptional analytical, numerical, and presentation skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly
• Proven leadership and communication abilities with strong organization, time management, and a collaborative, team-first mindset
• Proficient in reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Must pass a criminal background check, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
