Compensation: $65,000 annual salary (exempt)

Location: Remote

Department: Mergers & Acquisitions

Reports To: FP&A Manager

Industry Focus: Professional Services

Role Summary

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Entry-Level Financial Analyst to join our growing M&A team. In this role, you’ll dive into real-world transaction analysis, valuations, and strategic financial modeling. You’ll work directly with senior analysts and management to support buy-side and sell-side engagements—analyzing financial data, building pro formas, and helping create compelling, client-ready materials.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong academic background in finance or accounting who’s eager to develop hands-on experience in valuation, forecasting, and corporate financial planning. You’ll gain exposure to the full M&A process while contributing to strategic decision-making and financial performance analysis across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis: Collect, reconcile, and analyze financial statements, general ledgers, and tax filings to identify trends and performance drivers.
  • Modeling & Valuation: Build and refine detailed financial models, pro formas, and valuation summaries for transaction and strategic purposes.
  • Client Support: Communicate with clients in a professional, service-oriented manner—reviewing materials, addressing questions, and finalizing deliverables.
  • Project Coordination: Track project progress in Salesforce (or similar CRM tools), ensuring accuracy and timely completion of all deliverables.
  • Due Diligence Assistance: Support document reviews, including purchase agreements, operational data, and due diligence materials.
  • Strategic Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries and assist with performance insights.
  • Continuous Improvement: Help identify and implement process efficiencies within the team’s financial and analytical workflows.
  • FP&A Partnership: Collaborate with the FP&A Manager on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses that intersect with M&A initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Business Administration.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Word, Outlook, and Salesforce (or similar systems) is a plus.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting principles.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong quantitative, research, and problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills; capable of managing multiple priorities under deadlines.

Experience:

Internship or 0–1 year of experience in finance, investment banking, valuation, FP&A, audit, or transaction advisory preferred.

Benefits Summary

  • Full-time employees (30+ hours/week) are eligible; benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage options.
  • Employer contributions to an HSA each pay period.
  • Employer-paid life and AD&D insurance; short- and long-term disability coverage available.
  • Optional voluntary benefits including accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity plans.
  • Pre-tax premium options and participation in a retirement plan.
