Title: Consulting Controller
POSITION Summary: The Consulting Controller’s main responsibility is to manage a team of Accounting Consultants on a day-to-day basis and to develop and maintain strong relationships with a large external client or group of clients. The Controller and their team manage a client’s business portfolio and is responsible for month end close, financial reporting and analysis, cash management, and budgeting and forecasting. The Consulting Controller determines resource requirements, monitors the team’s progress against budget and sets timeframes. They will review and approve the work of their staff and resolve any issues prior to client review.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Financial close and reporting.
2. Cash management and analyze cash.
3. Annual budget development and forecasting.
4. Maintain relationships with internal and external auditors.
5. Provide insight to client’s Executive Team on business decisions.
6. Collaborate with client’s operational areas for improvement opportunities.
7. Supervising Accounting Consultants’ work - determine resource requirements, monitor progress against budget and timeframe, review work completed by team members and resolve all project issues prior to client’s review.
8. Ensures services rendered adhere to the firm’s risk management and quality control procedures.
9. Recruiting, managing and developing team members.
10. Requesting feedback from clients and acting promptly to improve client service.
11. Building and maintaining strong relationships with client/clients assigned.
12. Advancing firm CX reputation with external and internal client base.
13. Partnering with Business Consultants to support and enhance client experience.
14. Contributing to business development opportunities.

Education:
· Master’s Degree Required in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
· CPA or CPA candidate preferred
EXPERIENCE:
· At least 10 years experience in Accounting with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
