Senior Estates Manager – South


Are you an experienced estates or facilities professional with strong leadership skills, ready to take on a strategic regional role?


We are supporting the recruitment of a highly capable Senior Estates Manager to oversee a portfolio of luxury care homes across the Southern region. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a senior leadership position within a growing and dynamic care environment.


As Senior Estates Manager (South), you will have overall responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the estates function across multiple sites. You will lead a regional estates team, oversee major works and compliance programmes, and ensure all properties meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and presentation.


You will take ownership of internal, external, and grounds maintenance across the portfolio, ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations while delivering a proactive, responsive estates service.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a regional estates team to deliver consistently high standards across all properties.

• Oversee all aspects of estates management including maintenance, compliance, projects, and grounds.

• Ensure full compliance with health and safety, fire safety, and estates-related legislation.

• Manage large-scale refurbishment and improvement projects from planning through to delivery.

• Control estates budgets and oversee contractor performance and value for money.

• Implement and monitor planned preventative maintenance programmes across all sites.

• Provide strategic estates input to senior leadership and support long-term portfolio planning.


About You


We’re looking for a confident, organised, and solutions-focused estates leader with experience operating across multi-site environments.

Essential experience and attributes include:


• Proven experience in estates or facilities management, ideally within health or social care.

• Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety, fire safety, and estates compliance legislation.

• Demonstrable experience managing teams across regional or multi-site operations.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Experience managing budgets and external contractors effectively.

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the Southern region.
