Position Title: Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager
Job Type: Full Time, Direct Hire
Location: Royal City, WA
Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts; must have flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends. Final schedule to be determined.
Salary Range: Around $95,000 depending on experience + up to 10% annual bonus

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to ensure compliance with Quality and Food Safety standards across dryer, packaging, and harvest-specific production processes. This role oversees and coordinates the daily activities of Assistant Manager(s) and Quality Assurance (QA) Technicians to efficiently and safely meet production and harvest goals. The Quality Manager serves as the primary contact for Quality and Food Safety audits, providing training and support to team members to meet company standards.
Responsibilities:

Quality Oversight: Manage team schedules, oversee micro testing, critical control points (CCP), allergen control, trace-back preparation, and ensure audit compliance with corrective actions.

Quality Control: Conduct fruit checks, validate line samples, and audit QA processes to maintain GMPs and standards.

Team Leadership: Train and develop QA staff, conduct required trainings, and support production teams with Quality responsibilities.

Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe workplace, enforce safety protocols, and address hazards promptly.

Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and encourage team participation in efficiency and engagement initiatives.

Documentation and Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate documentation of production data, reports, and incidents, communicating any issues to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, food engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of supervisory experience, OR equivalent combination of education and Quality/lab experience.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/CRM systems such as Famous preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
