Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Type: Full Time, Direct Hire

Location: Alexandria, LA

Schedule: On-site with around 50% travel

Compensation: $95,000 – $118,000 base salary + relocation assistance (if applicable) + full benefits


About the Role

We are a leading manufacturer in the heavy steel industry, producing and servicing large-scale industrial equipment critical to national infrastructure. We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support our quality management system through audits, compliance verification, and process improvement initiatives at our Alexandria, LA facility. In this role, you will conduct supplier quality audits from planning through reporting and follow-up, analyze technical data to identify trends and root causes, and collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with specifications. You will also support internal quality processes, documentation, and reporting while managing quality-related projects to completion, meeting timelines and deliverables with minimal supervision. This plant-based role requires extensive travel to supplier facilities and offers significant project ownership with measurable impact on supplier quality and operational excellence.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or related U.S.-based degree.
  • 3–5 years in quality, manufacturing, or engineering; will consider 2 years with strong internships.
  • Proven technical and analytical skills, with strong project management abilities.
  • Experience in supplier quality, auditing, or compliance in a manufacturing environment preferred.
