About the Role
We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer / Department Manager to lead the Fort Collins, CO office. In this role, you will:

Manage geotechnical projects from subsurface exploration and analysis to foundation design, slope stability, and stamped final reports

Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, geologists, technicians, and administrative staff

Oversee project deliverables including geotechnical reports, letters, budgets, schedules, and client communication

Direct field and lab operations, including drilling oversight, lab testing, and data analysis

Develop client relationships while identifying new business opportunities to expand the department

Support growth and development through hiring, training, and performance management

Manage project finances, including invoices, change orders, and profitability tracking

Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, focusing on process improvements and shareholder engagement

Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or related Engineering field (M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required
- Minimum of 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience, including leadership and staff management
