Position Summary

The Process Engineering Manager (InP / Indium Phosphide) is a highly technical leadership role responsible for driving process development, stabilization, and scale-up of Indium Phosphide semiconductor manufacturing at a rapidly growing site in Sherman, TX. This is the most critical engineering hire at the site and will serve as the technical foundation for building out additional process engineering capability.

This role requires hands-on InP expertise first, with leadership layered on top. The successful candidate must bring strong technical credibility, the ability to influence through expertise, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented fab environment. This is not a purely people-management role — it is a technical leadership position with high visibility and long-term impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead process engineering efforts focused on Indium Phosphide (INP / InP) semiconductor manufacturing
  • Drive process development, stabilization, and production scale-up initiatives
  • Own yield improvement, process control, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Serve as the technical authority and mentor for engineers supporting INP processes
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing, Equipment, Facilities, and Quality teams
  • Support wafer fabrication process optimization in a cleanroom / fab environment
  • Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps tied to photonics, AI, and data center applications
  • Support hiring, development, and technical mentoring of future process engineering talent
  • Provide technical leadership during site growth and capacity expansion

What You Bring

  • Hands-on experience with Indium Phosphide (INP / InP) technology (required; non-negotiable)
  • Semiconductor manufacturing or advanced process development background
  • Engineering degree in Materials, Chemical, Electrical, Process, or a related discipline
  • Experience working in cleanroom and fab environments
  • Strong technical credibility with the ability to lead through expertise
  • Willingness to relocate to Sherman, TX

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior people leadership or technical mentoring experience
  • Compound semiconductor or photonics background
  • Experience with wafer fabrication and telecom-era semiconductor processes
  • Early-career exposure to INP programs from legacy telecom or photonics organizations

What You Get

  • Competitive base salary in the $150K–$175K range
  • 16% target bonus with strong historical overperformance
  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
  • Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
  • High-visibility role at a flagship, rapidly growing semiconductor site
  • Opportunity to shape the future of INP manufacturing in the U.S.
  • Long-term stability backed by significant capital investment
  • Direct influence on advanced photonics and AI-driven technologies
