Schedules Available (Choose Your Shift):
- Straight Day or Night Shifts (2-2-3 rotation):
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM ($1.00 shift differential)
- Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days — repeat. This rotation gives you every other weekend off.
- Rotating Days & Nights (4 on / 4 off):
- Work 2 day shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM), then 2 night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM), followed by 4 days off. ($0.50 shift differential paid out on both day and night shift)

What You'll Get
- Base Pay: $19.00–$20.00/hour to start

Job Summary:
We’re hiring mechanically inclined individuals for a hands-on manufacturing role in a high-output plastics and packaging production facility. This position supports either the Slitting or Extrusion departments depending on experience and operational need. Operators will be trained on critical equipment, quality checks, troubleshooting, and safe handling of raw materials. Successful hires will thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in producing high-quality product, and seek growth toward Lead Tech positions.
What You'll Do
- Operate industrial slitter or extruder machinery, including setup, monitoring, and shutdown
- Use tape measures, gauges, templates, and digital tools to verify dimensional accuracy
- Perform quality checks for surface defects, flatness, and conformance to specifications
- Maintain logbooks, input production data, and interact with PLC systems
- Load, thread, and align feedstock materials; install blades, spacers, lay-on bars, and sleeves
- Monitor gauges, temperatures, and material flow during production
- Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout, PPE use, and forklift operation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in production areas
- Communicate machine issues to supervisors and maintenance as needed
- Cross-train across departments with potential for Lead Tech advancement
What You Bring
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, construction, auto mechanic, or similar mechanical environment
- Ability to read and use a tape measure
- Comfortable working at heights and performing math with fractions
- Strong work ethic and consistent attendance record
- Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening
Preferred:
- Prior experience with extrusion or slitting machinery
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
- Experience using micrometers or similar precision tools
- Computer literacy for logging data and generating reports
Work Environment
- Exposure to heat, cold, noise, and industrial conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stretch, and stand for extended periods
- Physically demanding, fast-paced environment
- All-weather work conditions inside a climate-impacted facility
