Our client delivers aircraft modification and product development solutions across a range of specialised aviation applications, combining engineering expertise with practical innovation.

The Role

An opportunity is available for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, and certification of aircraft modifications. This role combines detailed engineering work with hands-on development and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and detailed mechanical designs for aircraft modifications
• Produce engineering documentation using CAD tools
• Support certification activities, including calculations, testing, and compliance documentation
• Contribute to product development and prototype activities where applicable
• Collaborate with production teams to optimise manufacturing processes
• Act as Project Engineer on design and development projects (depending on experience)
• Support customer and stakeholder interactions as required

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering (or similar)
• 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience with CAD tools (mechanical/structural design)
• Understanding of certification and regulatory compliance
• Experience with product development, prototyping, or manufacturing processes is advantageous
• Fluent in English (mandatory)
• Willingness to travel as required
