Paraplanner – North West (Hybrid)

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join our dynamic team and play a key role in helping clients achieve long-term financial well-being.


Role Overview

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and proactive Paraplanner with strong experience supporting advisers within a UK IFA environment.

This role involves producing high-quality financial plans, conducting in-depth research, and working closely with advisers to deliver exceptional outcomes, particularly in the areas of pensions, investment advice, and inheritance tax planning.

You will be based from either our Liverpool or Stockport office, with hybrid flexibility.


Key Responsibilities

📄 Financial Planning & Report Writing

  • Produce detailed financial plans, suitability reports, and recommendations.
  • Ensure all advice aligns with FCA regulations and Consumer Duty expectations.

🔍 Research & Technical Support

  • Conduct comprehensive product, investment, and tax research.
  • Work heavily across pensions, investments, bonds, trusts, and complex IHT solutions (AIM, BR, etc.).

🤝 Adviser Collaboration

  • Communicate closely with advisers to understand client objectives.
  • Support onboarding, case preparation, and the advice process.

📁 Compliance & File Management

  • Maintain compliant, accurate client files.
  • Ensure all advice meets internal and FCA standards.

💼 Team Support

  • Collaborate with wider teams to ensure seamless client service.
  • Support process improvements where needed.


Key Requirements

🎓 Experience & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years paraplanning experience within a UK IFA firm.
  • Level 4 Diploma (DipPFS or equivalent) or close to completion with strong experience.
  • Solid knowledge across a range of wrappers: pensions, bonds, trusts.
  • Experience with more complex IHT planning (AIM, BR) is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulation & Consumer Duty.
