Paraplanner – Full Time, On-Site/Hybrid (South Staffordshire)

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 + Benefits

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced, highly analytical, and detail-oriented Paraplanner to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in South Staffordshire.

As a key member of our advice team, the Paraplanner will provide vital analytical, technical, and administrative support to our Financial Advisers. You will play a central role in streamlining the advice process, ensuring regulatory compliance, and producing high-quality advice documentation for client presentations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
  • Conduct investment research, prepare financial reports, and support ongoing analytical tasks.
  • Financial Planning Support:
  • Assist Advisers in building and implementing tailored financial planning strategies.
  • Documentation & Presentation:
  • Produce clear, compliant, and professional suitability reports and client-facing documentation.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure all research, reports, and advice-related documentation meet FCA regulations and internal standards.
  • Process & Technical Support:
  • Provide administrative and technical support to ensure smooth operation of the advisory process and excellent client service.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of financial planning and investment products
  • Excellent analytical abilities, with confidence handling complex financial data
  • Outstanding report writing skills, able to convert technical information into clear client communication
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Solid understanding of financial services compliance and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications & Technical Competencies

  • Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent (highly desirable)
  • Software Experience:
  • Intelliflo
  • CashCalc (or similar cash flow modelling software)
  • FE Analytics (or equivalent research platform)
  • Report writing tools such as PPOL, ATEB, or Genovo

Salary, Hours & Benefits

  • Salary: £40,000–£45,000
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
  • Contract: Full-time, on-site/Hybrid
  • Probation: 6 months

Benefits Package

  • 5% employer pension contribution
  • Death in service: 4× salary
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • (2 days taken during Christmas closure, with any additional closure days not deducted from holiday allowance)
  • Income protection: 60% of salary until return to work or state pension age
