Investment Operations & Client Service Associate


Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)


Compensation: $85,000 – $110,000 base, plus discretionary bonus



About the Role:


Our client, a veteran wealth advisor with more than 30 years of industry experience, is seeking an experienced professional to take ownership of both investment operations and client service functions. This person will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while providing exceptional client support. The right candidate will bring a strong Series 7 background, deep operational know-how, and a natural ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.



Responsibilities


Client Service:


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding account maintenance, paperwork, and service needs.
  • Prepare meeting materials, performance reports, and follow-up documentation.
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively manage requests to ensure an excellent client experience.
  • Support the advisor in executing client reviews and implementing investment recommendations.
  • Maintain a high-touch, detail-oriented approach to communication and relationship management.



Investment Operations:


  • Execute, reconcile, and monitor trades across custodial platforms.
  • Oversee daily account activity, cash management, and trade settlements.
  • Manage new account openings, transfers, rollovers, and maintenance requests.
  • Ensure compliance and documentation accuracy.
  • Partner directly with the advisor to streamline workflows and implement process improvements.



Qualifications:


  • Active Series 7 required; Series 63 or 66 strongly preferred.
  • 4–8 years of experience in investment operations or client service within a wealth management or RIA environment.
  • Strong understanding of investment products and custodial platforms.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with precision.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with clients.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and able to make an immediate impact.
