Job Title: Lead Financial Advisor

Location: Greater Chicago Area – Hybrid (in-office 2-3 days per week) – Potential for 100% Remote

Overview

Our client, a respected insurance-focused advisory firm, is seeking an experienced and driven Lead Financial Advisor to join their team. This role is heavily focused on business development, with approximately 75% of time dedicated to identifying and engaging new clients within an upscale market. The ideal candidate will excel in case design, crafting tailored insurance solutions that meet the unique needs of high-net-worth clients. This firm does not manage investments, allowing the advisor to concentrate exclusively on insurance planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively source and develop new client relationships within high-net-worth segments, utilizing prospecting and networking skills.
  • Conduct thorough client assessments to design and present tailored insurance strategies, including life, disability, and long-term care solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, conducting regular reviews and adjustments to their insurance plans as needed.
  • Stay informed on industry developments, insurance products, and regulatory changes affecting high-net-worth insurance planning.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a client-facing advisory role, with a preference for candidates specializing in insurance.
  • Expertise in case design for high-net-worth clients, with a focus on insurance solutions.
  • Strong business development skills and comfort working within an upscale market.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Ability to work in-office 2-3 days per week for team collaboration and client meetings (remote candidates will be considered).

Compensation Structure

We offer flexible compensation models designed to fit the right candidate’s risk tolerance and financial goals:

  1. Base Salary + Commission – Offers a balance of financial stability and performance-based incentives.
  2. Commission-Only Model – Higher earning potential for entrepreneurial advisors looking to maximize commission-based income.
  3. Bridge Compensation Model – A structured transition period to provide financial stability while building a book of business.

Each model comes with pros and cons, balancing stability vs. upside potential, and can be tailored based on experience, performance, and business development skills.

Benefits

  • Hybrid work schedule with flexible in-office days.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan options, and professional development opportunities.
